Indiana Horse Rescue

It is always frustrating when horses must be removed from an owner.  After multiple attempts to have the owner care for the horses properly, and having to catch the horses to return them to their home when they were running at large, Law Enforcement called Indiana Horse Rescue for help with the problem. 
Below are pictures of the horses after they were removed from the property and transported to the IHR Main Division for Veterinary Evaluation, care and proper nutrition.

These horses needed attention NOW.  Thanks to Law Enforcement who investigated this case, and called for assistance.

Each time we work with a new county and help them understand the need for laws to be enforced even on large animals it is always a rewarding experience.  To see the officers understand what we do and how we can help them has brought about more awareness and better care for the horses.  Its amazing how the horses in those counties start receiving better care when the owners know they will be held accountable.
