Look how much Blossom has
changed!! This little lady is a dream to work with, she leads,
loads, stands to be brushed and for the farrier! And she is growing
like a weed! What a difference a little love makes! |

You may not notice much difference in the two pictures - but look a little
closer. Blossom has been through a total deworming protocol, and no longer
has that "wormy" look. She is actually putting on muscle by
going up and down the hill in the pasture where she is housed, look at her neck
and back legs and rump. She is really growing too! This girl does it
all. She leads, ties, trailers, stands for the farrier - and nothing seems
to spook her. She really wanted to see what was going on when we were
changing some broken gates. You would think the sound of a hammer on metal
would scare her away - not Blossom! She was right in there seeing if she
could help. This little girl is a dream come true..... even if a little
dirty from all the rain and mud :-(

Blossom has definitely blossomed under
our volunteers' loving touch! She is really a darling! She has been
handled since coming to the rescue. She is broke to halter, leads, ties,
picks up her feet and bathes. This girl will be a wonderful little lady to raise and teach everything
she should know. Blossom does have a parrot mouth so will need diligent
dental care. She came in due to neglect and has put on some much needed
weight. She just recently had her dental work done and is doing
great. Below is how she looked when she first came to us. As you can
see, she has gained a tremendous amount of weight in a short time. This
has been done slowly per vet recommendations - the little darling just needed
food.
