Poncharelli! He is super on the ground - how often do you have one
person saddling a horse with another picking their hooves. Jamie could
not believe it! She was picking his hooves while Tony saddled him - he
stood perfectly still like he had been saddled 1000 times. Since he
was a trail horse for rent - he probably was! He does need some work
on turn turning left & right but has such a gentle personality!!

Well, his update is a little past due! He has been putting his weight on
very easily - it just takes a little food!! Poncharelli is a gaited
horse! He has gotten a little spoiled..... so we are going to work on his
manners and riding.

Poncharelli will be ridden on Sunday (weather permitting), however we
expect him to be a gentleman. He is picking up weight quickly, but is
still not anywhere near his correct weight. Will know more soon!
Poncharelli has been out with many different horses and gets along with
everyone!

What a difference in this
guy! The pictures don't show it as well as I'd like, but he is getting
FAT! Notice the picture on the right, his belly is sticking out on
both sides! He is a doll, but is getting too, too spoiled!! Do
you have the right home for Poncharelli??
Ponch is just a
sweetie! We were told he was 5, however feel he may be a bit
younger. However, when an animal is not being cared for their age can be
deceiving. This boy must be Logan's protector, where ever you see
Poncharelli, Logan is not far away (Logan is the one with the eye
puncture). You can see Ponch in the picture on the left, yes, that is his
back bone sticking out. He needs quite a bit of weight. He does not
appear to be food aggressive which would be expected. We will not ride him
until he is healthier, but he comes whenever he sees anyone! Loves being
brushed and loved on!!
Poncharelli is the 4th of the
Fayette County rescue. This young man is approx 5 years old, and thanks to
Liz & her co workers, he has been rescued from a life of hard work, little love and even
less food. He is wanting the attention of everyone around and is such a
joy! I'm not sure if he realizes how lucky he is, but I know he is loving
all the good grub!!!
