Amber

It was quite a shock when Leona realized that Amber had gone blind, it happened so suddenly.  The vet was called, but even he knew that no matter how quickly he would have been called, it was unpreventable.   Amber was euthanized on 11/12/04 not due to the blindness, but due to the chance of her hurting herself or someone else.  Although Amber had learned to trust her family, she still had many trust issues.
Thank you for giving her a life of love where she was happy!

Leona knew that Amber had a lot of love to give!  It took us 2 long years to teach her to trust after who knows how much abuse.  Leona knew she could take her even further in her ability to love as there are just not enough of us to go around.  Thank you for understanding how much Amber had to give!!
