What wonderful people Dave & Sarah are!!! They needed to have a
pasture mate for the horse they have, so they looked to adopt one! They
knew when they first read about Caliber that he was it! He is one lucky
boy! He will have someone to love him and have the life others can only
dream of! He won't be leaving until their other horse comes home from the
trainer, so he won't have to be alone either! I'll show the updated pics
soon, so everyone can see what a fat boy he is now!!

Getting new X-rays!!! Unfortunately the X-rays
showed what we suspected. Caliber is available as a pasture mate
only. Since he did not come in until 6 months after his injury, surgery is
not an option. His fetlock will continue to calcify. What a
beautiful pasture ornament he will be!! He is very loving, gentle and easy
to handle.
What a guy! Caliber
is a 5 yr old Thoroughbred gelding that was raced. He was being trained for
Hunter/Jumper when he had an accident. He has bone
chips in his right front fetlock, and had an abscess in the same hoof, the bone
chips had already started to calcify which we thought ruled out surgery. (10/14/03)
His abscess has healed so we will know more soon.
