Sheba

10/2/04
Sheba has put on some much needed weight and is doing fantastic!  She has been ridden one time here at the rescue and would be fine with a confident handler to walk small children around.  She is a great girl who would love to have a home of her own!  Sheba is also available though the
S.O.S. Program!

This girl is so sweet and just doesn't understand what is happening.  You see, Sheba has gone almost totally blind.  She was drug into a trailer and dropped off at another farm with multiple cuts from that ride and the new owner would not take a chance on hurting her again.  She had Sheba just a few short months and knew she was not able to care for a blind horse, Sheba got hurt while there too.  She knew she could bring her to the rescue but wanted to make sure the trailer ride was not upsetting to her.   Sheba would never hurt a fly, but is also very confused.  She is in a smaller lot now with Spanky who is almost totally blind and a much older retired horse.  This is a great match!  She doesn't have to worry about getting picked on and they are all great buddies.  Spanky is so happy to be with these two  - his head is up and he is able to be a horse!
